Mason Jar Gifts for the Holidays

Mason jars are all the rage these days. From home decor to wedding centerpieces to light fixtures to stationery to housewares, mason jars make the perfect gift.  Every year I find myself searching for new and original Secret Santa gifts for friends and my daughter’s classmates.  This year I decided to make some gifts, using mason jars.  You can fit almost anything into a mason jar, tie it up with some ribbon, add a cute tag, and voila!  Here are some of my favorite mason jar gift ideas for the holidays:

I actually made this same exact one last year for a Secret Santa gift for my daughter’s school.  It came out so cute!  M&M Christmas Poem Jar, click here.

  1. Mason Jars are awesome! This is actually giving me an idea of what to do next year for the school since they do bring gifts for their Christmas Party. 🙂 Love the one with the little drummer boy on top. Perfect for kids. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  2. I actually made 3 mason jar cookie mixed one’s this year. They are the perfect addition for Christmas gifts. I never even thought of all of the uses you pictured above. I love the M & M one. Such a cute story to go with it!

  3. I’ve been using mason jars since I was a little girl. It’s so funny because when I was younger people always made it seem like you used canning jars because you were too poor to buy glasses. Folks also used jelly jars then because they had these really nice ones that looked just like mason jars. As got into high school they became the red neck drinking glass. LOL. We used them for gifts and such then too. It’s been really interesting to see how the world views jars now and I love seeing all the things folks do with them. I am loving these, that craft and spa in a jar are really cute. I am heading to Dollar Tree later and this gave me some inspiration for a few items to make some jars. Thanks!

  4. I love all of these ideas- they’re super cute! I wouldn’t mind getting one or two of these myself. For me, I love mason jar gifts at the holidays but the BEST one to receive is the one filled with homemade Baileys 😉
